Community Comes Together for a Successful Blood Drive
We are thrilled to announce the success of our recent blood drive event, where members of our community rallied together to make a significant impact. With a goal of collecting 25 liters of blood, our event exceeded expectations, with 35 liters collected in total.
In Hawaii, the need for blood donations is ongoing and crucial. Did you know that approximately 150 liters of blood are needed every day to meet the needs of patients across the islands? Despite this demand, securing an adequate blood supply can be challenging due to various factors such as limited donor participation and logistical hurdles.
The outpouring of support from participants was truly inspiring. Each donation plays a critical role in saving lives and supporting those in need of blood transfusions. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who took the time to donate and make a difference.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Blood Bank of Hawaii and the Rotary Downtown Hui for their invaluable partnership and assistance in organizing and executing this event. Their support was instrumental in ensuring the success of our blood drive.
