Office Pavilion Hawaii shares Herman Miller’s values and beliefs in sustainable manufacturing. The future quality of human life is dependent on both economic vitality and a healthy, sustainable natural environment. At Office Pavilion Hawaii we do not see these goals as mutually exclusive, but inextricably linked. Mankind's future depends on meeting the needs and aspirations of a growing global population, while enhancing and protecting the ecosystem on which all life depends.

Through Perfect Vision 2020, a sustainability initiative dedicating Herman Miller to achieve a wide range of sustainability targets by the year 2020, including zero waste to landfills, zero hazardous waste generation, the use of 100% green energy and 100% of product revenue through sustainable designs, Office Pavilion Hawaii pledges to strive for economic, environmental and social equity.

Office Pavilion Hawaii recycles the cardboard and packing materials that product gets shipped in. We also reduce waste that goes into our landfills by donating used product to organizations such as non-profits and churches.

Another major effort is the material make-up of products themselves. Chairs use a lot of plastic! Herman Miller recognized this and is striving to reduce the amount of plastic that normally ends up in our oceans by re-using the plastic in product. Click here to learn more about Ocean Bound Plastic
